Only autochthonous grape varieties are cultivated: Lagrein, Vernatsch, Gewürztraminer and South Tyrolean Goldmuskateller. They reflect the unadulterated attachment of our family to our homeland.

On the south-western slopes between St. Justina and St. Magdalena on lean, dry moraine deposits with high soil skeleton, light loam and good humus content.
Altitude 400 m, slope inclination 30 – 50 %.

Form of upbringing and cultivation:

Trellis in cross-terracing; we practice sustainable cultivation and follow the principles of organic farming as far as possible.
Age of the vines: 21 years.

Pressing and ageing:

The hand-picked Gewürztraminer grapes are de-stemmed and pressed after a 24-hour cold maceration. The lees-free must undergoes slow (approx. 25 days) and cool (approx. 16 °C) fermentation. The further refinement steps also take place in steel tanks, whereby we deliberately use simple cellar techniques (aeration, sedimentation, use of heat and cold, filtration) in order to retain the unadulterated characteristics of the variety, the location and the vintage.
Bottling approx. 10 months after the harvest.

Growing area:

On the southwestern slopes between St. Justina and St. Magdalena on dry river gravel deposits with high sand and medium humus content. Sea level about 400 m, slope inclination of 50-60%.

Form of upbringing and cultivation:

Trellis in transverse terracing; we practice sustainable cultivation and follow the principles of organic farming as much as possible. Age of the vines 13 years

Pressing and ageing:

the hand-picked pepper grapes (South Tyrolean variety of the Gold Muscat) are de-stemmed and pressed after a 24-hour cold maceration. The must, free of lees, undergoes a slow (about 25 days) and cool (about 16 °C) fermentation. Further refinement and aging also take place in steel tanks, where we deliberately use simple cellar techniques (aeration, sedimentation, use of heat and cold, filtration) in order to preserve the unaltered peculiarity of the variety, site and vintage. Bottling 10 months after the harvest.

Further refinement and aging also takes place in steel tanks, where we deliberately use simple cellar techniques (aeration, sedimentation, use of heat and cold, filtration) in order to maintain the unaltered peculiarity of the variety, location and vintage. Its bright ruby red puts us in the mood for the delicate floral bouquet of violets, as well as the fruity cherry and raspberry aromas. The palate is medium bodied with silky tannins, and pleasant marzipan notes, giving us the typical light bitter almond aroma on the finish.

On the southern slopes of the St. Magdalener area on lean dry porphyry weathered soils with light loam and high skillet content and good humus content; sea level 350 m, slope inclination from 30 – 80%.

Pergola and trellis in transverse terracing; we practice sustainable cultivation and follow the principles of organic farming as much as possible. Age of the vines 21 years.

Pressing and ageing:

The hand-picked Vernatsch grapes are de-stemmed and, after a cool 8-day maceration (20 – 26 °C), finish sugar reduction within about 10 days without the marc. Further refinement and aging also take place in steel tanks, where we deliberately use simple cellar techniques (aeration, sedimentation, use of heat and cold, filtration) in order to maintain the unaltered peculiarity of the variety, the site and the vintage. Bottling approximately 10 months after harvest.
